Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition technical specifications, price and availability

meizu mx4 ubuntu edition

Last week, Ubuntu for phones was finally available to consumers on the bq Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition through a series of limited flash sales. That was a necessary milestone for the Ubuntu platform, but some people were likely let down by the phone’s entry level specifications list. Thankfully, Ubuntu is getting a more high-end smartphone to play with, although performance come at a price.

Yesterday, Meizu teased an Ubuntu version of its MX4 Android smartphone to be introduced at the next MWC in Barcelona. In the intriguing message the company said that the MX4 Ubuntu edition is awaiting us, and included an image of the MX4 running Ubuntu Phone (aka Ubuntu Touch)

As per writing this, Meizu has not provided more information, and they're not expected to do so until next week at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona (Ubuntu Exhibit Hall 8.1, Booth F41). Here you are, however, with some further information that you might find of particular interest.
